Enrolling
The New Zealand school year starts in late January and officially ends in early December. Examinations for NCEA are held from mid-November to early December. There are four terms in each year.
International students can enrol at Aotea College for one, two or three terms, a full year or longer.
While students can start at the beginning of Term 1, 2 or 3, students planning to enter for NCEA should attend for the full academic year. Have a look at the courses page to find out about entry requirements and subject choices.
To enrol at Aotea College you must:
complete the Aotea International Application form and submit it directly to us through an agent. A recognised Education Agent can assist you with your school and visa applications, payments, travel and preparation for living in New Zealand.
Your applications should be accompanied by recent school reports and a testimonial (usually from a teacher) as to your character and suitability for studying overseas.
If your application is successful you will receive a Offer of Place and a Fees Invoice.
Once fees have be received a receipt and Offer of Place will be issued. This will enable you to complete your visa application.
Full information about visa requirements can be found on the Immigration New Zealand website.
